Sunday Q and A Session 3

Did Jesus Take Care of Himself?

Did Jesus Take Care of Himself?
By "Jesus take care of self" I presume you are asking if Jesus took care of Himself and I would say yes.

For starters we can see that He took care of Himself spiritually for the Bible tells us that In the morning, having risen a long time before daylight, Jesus went to a solitary place and prayed. (Mark 1:35)

The Gospel of Luke also tells us that as He continued to minister to the multitudes who came to listen to His teaching and to be healed, Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness and prayed. (Luke 5:15)

Therefore we can see that Jesus took the time to take care of Himself spiritually and emotionally by withdrawing from the people He was pouring into with His teaching and healing ministry by going to solitary places where He could pray and be poured into by God His Heavenly Father.

Therefore create time to take care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually even as you take care of others physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself Mark 12:31

Christian Blog Post on Rebuilding your Life

Christian Blog Post on Rebuilding Your Life
Since you requested a Christian blog on rebuilding your life I will write this blog post on How to Rebuild Your Life as a Christian.

Regardless of whether you are trying to rebuild your life after a divorce, addiction, job loss or any other traumatic life event, I suggest that you follow these steps:

1. Rebuild your Spiritual Life
Rebuilding your spiritual life is the first thing you should do when you are trying to rebuild your whole life. This is because were are told to Seek first the kingdom of God and all these other things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)

Building your spiritual life first by developing a good relationship with God also gives you a great foundation to build the other facets of your life on.

Therefore begin rebuilding your spiritual life by:
1. Getting saved
Get saved if you are not saved or if you have backslidden by saying with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead when He died for our sins and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

2. Reading the Bible each day
Develop the habit of reading at least one chapter of the Bible each day so that you can learn how God expects you to live.

Ensure that you also do what the Bible because we are to be Be doers of the Word and not just hearers and thereby deceiving yourself. (James 1:22)

3. Praying each day
After reading your Bible spend some time praying to God about the process of rebuilding your life spiritually, financially and ask Him to guide you and help you with the process.

4. Helping someone
Find someone who you can help because this will make you feel better. It will also bring God's blessings to your life because Blessed in the person who helps the poor for the Lord will deliver them from trouble, preserve them from death and bless them. (Psalm 41:1-3)

Therefore find someone you can help by giving your money, time, talents. You can also help people by praying for them. For example, you can find a website or app when people post prayer requests and commit to praying for at least one person each day.

Blessed in the person who helps the poor for the Lord will deliver them from trouble, preserve them from death and bless them. (Psalm 41:1-3)

2. Rebuild your Financial Life

Rebuilding your financial life is the second thing you should do when you are trying to rebuild your whole life. This is because money is a necessary ingredient for all facets of life.

Therefore begin building your financial life by:
1. Looking for a job
Send out your resume to companies in your field and upload your CV to websites that match people with jobs.

2. Joining LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a social network where you can meet people in your profession from your region. Expanding your network on sites like LinkedIn can help you get a job.

3. Updating your skills
Update your CV by taking courses that make you more marketable. Even if you do not have money there are many websites where you can take free courses like Coursera.com, OpenCulture.com, and FutureLearn.com

4. Creating your own job
Create your own job by beginning a free blog on sites like Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, and Weebly.com and writing about some aspect of your life or something you know pretty well or love very much.

It does not really the topic of your blog. What matters is that the subject is something you like.

Once you have at least 3 good articles of around 1000 words each that show that you know your subject matter quite well, Google the top blogs in your niche and email their owners asking to contribute articles to their blog as a freelance writer and using the articles in your blog as samples of your writing. For more ideas simply Google "how to make money online writing".

If you do not like writing you can create a pictorial blog where you simply post photos of your outfits or the food you cook or your kittens or sunrises and sunsets.
You can monetize your photos by submitting them to stock photo sites like iStockphoto.com. You can also submit the photos that are rejected to free photo sites like Pixabay.com where people can leave a tip after downloading your photos. For more ideas simply Google "how to make money online with photos".

You can also create videos by filming yourself doing the things you do every day and post them on YouTube. For example, if you search YouTube you will find YouTubers making money posting videos of them applying their makeup or styling their hair or giving advice on relationships or any other topic. For more ideas simply Google "how to make money online with videos".

As you do this understand that it takes time and commitment and many people spend many months working round the clock before they begin making money online.

3. Rebuild your Emotional Life

Rebuilding your emotional life is the third step when you are trying to rebuild your whole life.

Therefore begin building your emotional life by:
1. Forgiving
Forgive the people who caused the traumatic events that destroyed your life and those who hurt you in any other way and forward them to God so that He can deal with them.

Pray to God saying, O Lord my God, You have seen how I have been wronged. Judge my case. (Lamentations 3:59)

And then trust that He will balance the scales of justice on your behalf like He did for Joseph whose brothers sold him into slavery but God made him the Prime Minister by declaring, I smile at my enemies because I trust in God's salvation. (1 Samuel 2:1)

2. Talking
Talking to a Christian Counselor can also help you heal emotionally. Therefore seek the services of a local Counselor in your area or consult an Online Christian Counselor.

2. Joining Professional social groups
Join professional social groups like your Church choir or any other ministry in your Church where you can expand your circle of friends as you get more contacts in your line of work.
