The Bible advises us to Guard your heart diligently because the issues of your life flow out of it. (Proverbs 4:23)
To control the things that flow out of your heart, you have to watch what enters your heart or mind through the things you see, read and listen to.
Wearing the breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6) is the best way of guarding your heart and controlling the issues of your life.
To put on this breastplate of righteousness do the right thing in the sight of God at all times.
Trying to do what is right in God's eyes will help you avoid looking and listening to things that will contaminate on the inside. This in turn will ensure that you only produce good things from your mind.
Therefore guard your heart diligently by wearing the breastplate of righteousness consistently.
