How to Deal with Rejection: The Adulterous Woman

This woman was guilty of committing adultery and as per the law, she was as good as dead because she was supposed to be stoned. (John 8:4)

However, Jesus showed her mercy and saved her life for He said, "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her". (John 8:7)

His statement saved her life because those who had been baying for her blood, were convicted by their consciences and they left the scene one by one beginning with the oldest. (John 8:9)

From this incidence we can see that Jesus was against the sin of adultery because as He was sending her away, He said to her, "Go and do not sin anymore". (John 8:11)

However, He did not condemn her for having committed that sin because He told her, "Neither do I condemn you". (John 8:11)

Therefore if you are suffering from rejection by society because of committing adultery or any other sin or crime, come to Jesus because He will not reject you or condemn you for God did not send His Son into the world  to condemn the world, but that through Him, the world might be saved. (John 3:17)

This shows us that Jesus did not come to condemn us and so He will not reject you because of the commandments you have broken or the crimes you have committed.

So come to Jesus and open your heart to Him you can receive His love and acceptance. To do this, accept Him as your Lord and Savior by saying with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believing in your heart that when He died for our sins, God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Then, decide that you will "Not sin anymore(John 8:11) and commit to reading at least a chapter of the Bible every day so that you can know how to live without sinning against God or breaking His commandments.

In addition, when you get tempted to sin, pray and ask Jesus to help you for We do not have a High Priest (that is Jesus Christ) who cannot be touched with the feelings of our weaknesses. But He was tempted in all points just like we are and yet He was without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:15)

All you need to do to come boldly to this throne of grace where you can find mercy and help when you are feeling weak is to get down on your knees and call on the name of Jesus.

For example you can pray, Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to give me the strength to resist this temptation.
