The Caleb Difference Part 1

Sometimes the main hindrance to solving a problem is not so much the external gigantic problem but our internal grasshopper mentality problem.

We can see this from the Israelites when God promised to give them a land flowing with milk and honey because they are the ones who initially stopped themselves from going to possess their Promised Land and enjoy their milk and honey.

The Bible tells us that 10 of the Israelite spies who had been sent to the Promised Land brought back the following report:
"The Promised Land Truly flows with milk and honey ... Nevertheless the people are strong and the cities are fortified and ... we saw giants and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight and also in their own sight." (Numbers 13:27-33)

These 10 spies saw themselves as grasshoppers in their own eyes. By so doing, they defeated themselves mentally and they were thus unable to muster enough courage to face and fight the giants dwelling in their Promised Land.

However, not all the Israelite  spies were like this. Caleb had a different spirit in him (Numbers 14:24) for he said, "We are well able to conquer the Promised Land.(Numbers 13:30)

Caleb had also gone to the Promised Land as one of the spies and he had also seen that the people were strong and that their cities were fortified and that there were also giants in there.

So what was the difference between Caleb and the other 10 spies with whom he had gone to the Promised Land with?

The difference was that Caleb had a giant mentality and he followed God "wholeheartedly". (Numbers 14:24)
He has a different spirit in him and he has followed Me wholeheartedly Numbers 14:24

Therefore if you want to face and conquer your gigantic problems, you have to follow God 100%. Following Him halfheartedly or 50% will not do it.

You have to do your very best to do as His Word says. You also have to believe His Word and the promises He gives us 100% even if they seem impossible because of your current limitations.

Understand also that this assessment of Caleb following God "wholeheartedly" was not a human assessment. This was the word that God Himself used.

Therefore know that it is not so much what people see you doing on the outside like going to Church or praying on street corners. (Matthew 6:5) What really matters is what God sees in your heart.
