The steps of the War Room Prayer Strategy for your Family are as follows:

1. Identify the Devil's Device
The devil uses many strategies to fight God's people and their families but We are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11) Theses devices of the devil include false accusations, confusion, deception, destruction and temptation.

You can identify the device being used against your family by paying attention to what you are experiencing. For example if many things that belong to your family are being destroyed, know that destruction is the device being used because The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10)

We can see the devil using this device when the Midianites, Amalekites  and other people from the East would go to Israel and destroy all that they could to ensure the Israelites did not have any sustenance, sheep, ox or donkeys. As a result of the destruction, the Israelites were greatly impoverished. (Judges 6:1-6)

To deal with this device of destruction, you must come to Jesus because He says, “The thief comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Thus we can see that while the thief or the devil comes to destroy by stealing, killing or demolishing your assets, Jesus came to do the opposite and give you an abundant life.

Therefore if you are suffering because of the devil's destructive effects on your family, invite Jesus into your life by accepting Him as you Lord and Savior. To do this say with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that when He died for our sins, God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Then invite Jesus into your family's home. To do this read How to Sanctify your Home.

2. Put on the Armor of God
The Bible instructs us to, "Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the tricks of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11)

The armor of God consists of the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:14-17)

Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ... Take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, continue standing. (Ephesians 6:11-13)

To put on this armor of God you have to do the following:

1. Put on the helmet of salvation by saying with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believing in your heart that when Jesus died for our sins, God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

2. Put on the breastplate of righteousness by doing the right thing in the sight of God.

3. Tie the belt of truth by being truthful in all your dealings.

4. Put on the Gospel of peace by reading your Bible as a family every day.

5. Take up the shield of faith by believing God and His Word in the Bible because this will help you neutralize the attacks of the enemy. You should also make a point of listening to preaching of the Gospel each day because Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)

6. Take up the sword of the spirit which is the word of God by speaking Scriptures over your family situation.

3. Praise and Thank God
The Bible tells us to Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. (Psalm 100:4)

This means that when you want to enter God's presence you have to thank Him and praise Him.

Therefore begin praising God by reading and personalizing praise psalms like the following:

Bless the Lord O my soul and do not forget all His benefits:
He forgives all my iniquities,
He heals all my diseases,
He redeems my life from destruction,
He crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
He satisfies my mouth with good things
So that my youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:2-5)

Bless the Lord O my soul and do not forget all His benefits: He forgives all my iniquities, He heals all my diseases, He redeems my life from destruction, He crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies, He satisfies my mouth with good things So that my youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:2-5)

You can also play Christian praise songs on your DVD player or computer or radio and singing along.

Combine this with thanking God for what He has done for you in the past and praising Him for what He will do for you in the future.

You can also praise God for Who He is especially if you need Him to use those attributes to help you.

For example if you need Him to fight for your family and give you victory, you can praise Him by saying, "I praise You because You are Jehovah Nissi (Genesis 22:14) the Lord Our Banner."

War Room Prayers for your Family

4. Pray Fervently
The Bible tells us that The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person availeth much. (James 5:16)

Therefore, once you are in the presence of God begin praying effectively so that your prayers can achieve a lot by using Bible verses since The SWORD of the spirit is the WORD of God. (Ephesians 6:17)

Ensure that you are also praying fervently by proclaiming the scriptures passionately and enthusiastically.

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person availeth much. (James 5:16)

Bible verses or SWORD WORDS that you can use to pray effectively and fervently for your family include:

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to bless my family because it is written that the tent of the upright will flourish (Proverbs 14:11) and you bless the home of the just. (Proverbs 3:33)

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me and my house serve You Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me and my family because You are a Father to the fatherless and a Defender of widows. (Psalm 68:5)

SWORD WORDS from the Bible to say as Warfare Prayers and Christian Affirmations for your Family

As you pray effectively and ardently using your SWORD WORDS, ensure that you are also living a righteous life because The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16) and The eyes of God are on the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers. (1 Peter 3:2)

Ensure that you have also confessed your sins to God and asked for His forgiveness because The Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save you and His ear is not heavy that He cannot hear you. But your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2)

5. Have Faith
As you pray for your family, you have to believe that you will receive what you are asking for because we are told to Ask in faith (James 1:6)

Therefore if for example you are praying for a family reunion, you have to pray while seeing with yourself holding hands with the family member you want to be reunited with because Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

If you feel or think that you do not have any faith, know that is a lie because God has dealt to each person a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)

If you feel or think that your faith is too small to achieve anything, understand that is also a lie because Jesus taught, "If you have faith as small a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)

If you find that your faith is wavering because one day you are certain that your prayers will be answered and the next you are not sure, simply pray "Lord I believe. Help my unbelief." (Mark 9:24)

Then emulate David by reminding yourself of how God has helped you in the past or how He helped people similar situations either in real life or in the Bible because when he encountered Goliath, David said, "The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." (I Samuel 17:37)

6. Fast
Jesus taught that somethings have to be dealt with by combining prayer with fasting when He said, "This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21

Therefore combine praying with abstaining from food for 1 day or 3 days or 21 days or 40 days. If you have never fasted before you can begin by skipping 1 meal.

"This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21)

As you abstain from food ensure that you are not engaging in pleasurable activities or taking advantage of people because when the Israelites asked God “Why have we fasted and You do not see? (Isaiah 58:3) He told them, “On the day you fast, you find pleasure and exploit your laborers.” (Isaiah 58:3)

7 Promises of God Scriptures for your Family

7. Cling to God's Promises
As you wait to receive what you are praying for, emulate Abraham for Abraham did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief. But he was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God while being fully convinced that what God had promised, He was able to perform. (Romans 4:20-21)

Therefore meditate on the Promises of God for your family while being fully convinced that what God has promised in His Word, He is able to perform for you just as He did for Abraham and also because All the promises of God in Jesus Christ are Yes and Amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

SWORD WORDS from the Bible to say as Warfare Prayers and Christian Affirmations for your Family

8. Speak to the Situation

Jesus taught, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:20-21)

This shows us that the keys to dealing with impossible situations are your faith, your words, your prayers and your fasting.

Therefore even if you are dealing with a family situation condition that the specialists have declared impossible to resolve know that Nothing will be impossible for you (Matthew 17:20) if you combine praying with fasting and having faith in God with speaking to the mountainous health challenge you are facing.

"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:20-21)

You can also speak to your family situation every morning and evening by using the SWORD WORDS you used to pray for it as your Christian affirmations. To do this, you can modify them in the following way:

The Lord God is blessing my family because the tent of the upright will flourish (Proverbs 14:11) and He blesses the home of the just. (Proverbs 3:33)

The Lord God is helping me and my house to serve Him. (Joshua 24:15)

The Lord God is helping me and my family because He is a Father to the fatherless and a Defender of widows. (Psalm 68:5)
