Has God Forgotten Me?

Has God forgotten me?

Are you wondering if God has forgotten you?

Have the events in your life left you feeling that God has forgotten you?

If they have know that God has not forgotten you because it is written that Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me and my Lord has forgotten me." (Isaiah 49:14)

But God answered and asked, "Can a woman forget the nursing child and not have compassion on the child of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See I have inscribed you in the palms of My hands. Your walls are continually before Me." (Isaiah 49:15-16)

So believe that God has not forgotten you because He tells us that it is very hard for Him to forget you and He compares forgetting you with a pregnant women forgetting the baby within her womb or a breastfeeding mother forgetting her lactating child which are both very hard to do.

These are hard feats because when the baby is in the womb it keeps kicking and turning which reminds the pregnant woman of its presence in her body. Once the baby is born, he/she is always crying to be fed or changed or cuddled and this keeps the mother constantly aware of his/her needs and presence.

Even if the new mother were to physically leave the baby and go to another place, her body would still involuntarily remind her of her baby because her breasts would continue to produce milk. Thus it is very hard for a pregnant woman or a breastfeeding mother to forget her baby but even if they could, God would still not forget you because He promises you saying, "Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you." (Isaiah 49:15)

Can a woman forget the nursing child and not have compassion for the child of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. (Isaiah 49:15)

God even goes an extra step to make sure that He does not forget you because He tells us that He has tattooed you in the palms of His hands. Imagine if you tattooed someone's name in your hands, you would always remember them because you would see their name when you used your hands to do anything.

In addition to God inscribing you in the palms of His Hands, God also tells you that your walls are continually before Him. Walls in the Bible were a form of defense as they protected cities from attackers. So if your walls or defenses have been destroyed and you are lying hurting and defeated, stop worrying while wondering if God has forgotten about you and your problems and rest in peace while knowing that He continually sees the state you are in.

God is continually aware of your physical state, your mental state, your emotional state and your spiritual state because He knows everything. He knows how bad things are in all the facets of your life and He promises you reprieve for He says, Your destroyers and those who devastated you shall go away. (Isaiah 49:17)

In addition, He also reassures you of restoration because He says, Your waste places and the land of your destruction will be too small for the inhabitants. (Isaiah 49:19)

He continues and promises you saying, "The children you will have after you lost the others will say to you 'This place is too small for me. Give me a place to live'" (Isaiah 49:20) This shows you that even if you have lost important things in your life, you will get others and they shall be of a greater multitude that what you lost.

You will be so amazed by the good turn of events in your life that You will say in your heart, "Who has begotten these children for me since I had lost my children and was barren, a captive wandering to and fro?" (Isaiah 49:21)

  2. It's fascinating how easy it can be to blame God for the bad stuff and how non-believers use it as proof there's no God. My daughter is currently in remission from cancer which was diagnosed aged 7, and far from running from God we believe it was the path our souls came here to tread in our journey of learning and love #globalblogging
