When the Israelites were preparing to cross the Jordan river and enter their Promised Land, Joshua said to the Israelites, "Sanctify yourselves because tomorrow God will do wonders among you." (Joshua 3:5)
This wonder that Joshua was expecting God to do for the Israelites was helping them cross the River Jordan without a boat.
This was no mean feat since the Israelites with their children would be crossing it when it was flooded for River Jordan overflows its banks during harvest time. (Joshua 3:15)
Consequently, Joshua told the people to sanctify themselves in preparation for God doing wonders among them.
Therefore if you are expecting God to move in your life and do wonders for you, sanctify yourself by doing the following:
1. Confess your Sins
Confess all your sins and ask God to forgive you. Ask Him to also remind you of the things you have done that He was not pleased with and that you have forgotten so that you can confess them.
2. Live Righteously
