Matthew 14 Bible Study: God answers when you cry out

When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the sea, they became troubled, said He was a ghost and cried out in fear to Him. And immediately Jesus spoke to them. (Matthew 14:26-27)

When Peter was walking on the water going to Jesus and he begun to sink, he cried out to Him saying, “Lord save me!” And immediately Jesus responded. (Matthew 14:29-31)
Therefore be encouraged by the fact that regardless of whether you pray when you are alone like Peter or whether you are in a group like the disciples, God hears your prayers and answers them. Therefore Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) especially if you are going through trials and tribulations.

Note also that the disciples simply “Cried out in fear” (Matthew 14:26) without expressing their emotions in words and yet Jesus answered them. Therefore know that even when you can only cry without articulating your pain in words, God also hears your tears and responds to them.
