When the Israelites found themselves trapped between the Red Sea in front of them and the Pharaoh's army behind them, The the pillar of cloud that led them moved to the back of their camp.
It stood between the Egyptian camp and that of the Israelites and it was a cloud and darkness to one camp but it offered light in the night to the other camp.
This ensured that no one from any camp was able to go to the other camp. (Exodus 14:19-20)
This teaches us that God can use the same thing to do achieve different purposes for this cloud brought light to the Israelites during this dark night when they were afraid of the Egyptians. It also brought darkness inside the Egyptian camp to stop them from advancing towards the Israelites until He had parted the Red Sea for the Israelites.
Therefore trust God even if the enemies who are baying are very close to you for you do not know what God can doing inside their camp to keep them from hurting you.
