Devotional: Whoever Assembles Against You Shall Fall

Devotional: Whoever assembles against you shall fall

They shall surely gather together, but not because of Me and whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake. (Isaiah 54:15)

This Bible verse shows us that in this life we will surely face opposition.

However, it also promises us God's protection when people gather to oppose us without His consent.

Therefore when people gather to oppose you, pray and ask God if there is something wrong you have done to cause the gathering. If there is, ask Him to show you how you can correct the mistakes you have made.

Whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake. (Isaiah 54:15)

If there is no good cause for the people to gather against you, leave them alone and decide to believe that they will fall for your sake.

After leaving them alone, encourage yourself in the Lord so that you can be strong enough to continue doing what you are supposed to do regardless of their opposition. We can see a good example of this when David's men gathered together against him and spoke of stoning him because David encouraged himself in the Lord. (1 Samuel 30:6)

To encourage yourself in the Lord, pray for strength so that you can Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10) Then, put on the armor of God so that you can stand firmly on the Promises of God for help as you wait for those opposing you to fall.

Prayer
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to give me the wisdom to know how to deal with people when they gather against me. Show me when I have to act to correct my mistakes and when I have to leave them alone because they are the ones making the mistake by gathering against me. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
