Devotional: With the Measure you Mete

Devotional With the measure you mete it shall be measured for you.

With the measure you mete, it shall be measured for you. (Mark 4:24)

The Bible contains several examples of persons who inadvertently measured out things for themselves while thinking they were measuring them for others.

One good example is Haman who meted out death for Mordechai simply because he did not like him by asking for gallows to be built to hang him. However, Haman ended up being hung on those same gallows when King Ahaseurus discovered that he had plotted to annihilate the Israelites. (Esther 7:9)

Mordechai also received what he had measured out for another person when he reported the eunuchs who had plotted to harm the king because the king later saved his life from Haman. (Esther 6:6)

Therefore be careful when you are measuring things for others because it is written Give and it shall be given back to you (Luke 6:38) which ensures that A  person reaps what they sow. (Galatians 6:7)

With the measure you mete, it shall be measured for you. Mark 4;24
Prayer
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me remember that when I am measuring out things for people, I am also measuring them out for myself because I will receive what I have given.
