St. John's Wort

St John’s wort or Hypericum perforatun is one of the best natural cures for depression since it is has been shown to be just as effective as prescription antidepressants known as tricyclic antidepressants for the treatment of mild to moderate depression.

Therefore, consider using St John’s Wort extract either in the form of the powdered herb, tincture or capsule after consulting your doctor.

You can also brew St.  John’s wort tea by steeping 1 teaspoon of dried flowers (or 2 teaspoons of fresh flowers) in 1 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Sweeten with honey if so desired before drinking.
