What is Faith?
This means that you have to feel the substance of the things you are hoping for and see with your mind's eye the evidence of things you cannot see with your physical eyes.
This Christian faith in God is best exemplified by Abraham because he believed God when God told him he would have descendants who were as numerous as the stars even though he was an old man married to an old woman. By faith Abraham also obeyed when God called him to go to the place he would be given and he went not knowing where he was going.
Why Strengthen your Faith?
It is very important to strengthen your faith in God because:1. Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6)
2. The shield of faith enables you to put out all the darts fired by the wicked one. (Ephesians 6:16)
3. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.(Matthew 17:20)
How to Strengthen your Faith
To strengthen your Christian faith for healing and for receiving other things in life do the following:
1. Pray
When the disciples of Jesus were unable to cast out the mute spirit that made a certain boy convulse and fall into fire, his father went to Jesus as said, "If You can do anything, have mercy on us and help us." (Mark 9:17-22)Jesus replied by telling the boy's father that, "All things are possible for the person who believes." (Mark 9:23)
The father then responded by saying, "Lord I believe. Help my unbelief!"
Therefore if a part of you believes God and and another part of you doubts certain things like His ability to heal you, pray and ask God to strengthen your faith.
For example you can pray, "Heavenly Father I believe that You can heal me and I ask You in the name of Jesus to help my unbelief so that I can believe wholeheartedly."
2. Visualize
Since Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1) with physical eyes, you have to learn to visualize or see the things you are hoping for with your mental eyes.Therefore if you are hoping for God to heal you or your child, you have to visualize the evidence of the healing you want.
This evidence of the healing can be in the form of test results coming back as normal or the doctor telling you the condition has been cured or the disease symptoms have disappeared.
2. Confess
The woman with the bleeding disease confessed her healing by saying, "If I touch His garments I will get well." (Mark 5:28) This lady was able to make this positive confession despite suffering from her disease for 12 years, having suffered many things from many doctors as they tried to treat her and spending all her money looking for her cure. (Mark 5:25-26)
Therefore regardless of how long you have been sick and regardless of the amount of expensive medications you have taken to treat your condition or the complicated procedures you have undergone and regardless of what the specialists have said about your syndrome, continue speaking healing affirmations over yourself.
As you do so, use Bible verses as your Christian affirmations since The sword of the spirit is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)
Scriptures that you can confess for your healing include:
1. By His stripes I am healed. (Isaiah 53:5)
2. God opens His hand and satisfies my desire to be healed. (Psalm 145:14-16)
3. God has restored health to me and healed me of all diseases. (Jeremiah 30:17)
4. The prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up. (James 5:14-15)
5. He sent His word and healed me. (Psalm 107:20)
