Fulfilling Your Life's Purpose: The Tools

Fulfilling Your Purpose: The Tools

When God commissioned Moses to go and ask Pharaoh to release the Israelites from slavery, we see that Moses was worried that people would not believe him for he asked the Lord, "What if they do not believe me or listen to me for they can say, 'The Lord has not appeared to you.'" (Exodus 4:1)

The Lord replied and asked him, "What is that in your hand?(Exodus 4:2)

Moses replied, "A staff."

God told him to throw it on the ground and it became a snake. He was then instructed to take it by its tail and it turned back into a rod. He was to do this so "That they may believe that the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has appeared to you.(Exodus 4:3-4)

So we see in this situation that God gave Moses the power to use what was in his hand to solve the problems in his future and fulfill his purpose.

Later on after the Israelites had left Egypt, when they found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh's army, God told Moses, "Lift your rod and stretch your hand over the Red Sea to divide it.(Exodus 14:16)

Thus we see God gave Moses the power to use the staff that was in his hand to solve the problem he was facing in his present which was to cross the Red Sea.

Therefore regardless of the stressful problems you are facing in your present or the ones you think will crop up in your future, ask God to give you the power to use what is in your hand to solve them.

For example if the only thing you have in your hand is a small garden that you grow tomatoes or a small blog that you post pictures you have taken, and you are facing financial problems in your present and you know that in a few months you will need to come up with a large amount of  money to pay a certain bill, pray and ask God to show you how to can use the tomatoes and pictures in your hand to solve your present and future financial problems since He is the one who gives you power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18)
