How NOT To Make Fear Based Decisions on Using your Talents

How NOT To Make Fear Based Decisions

The Bible tell us that the servant who was given 1 talent buried it because of fear for he told his master, "I knew that you were a hard man ... and so I was afraid and hid your talent in the ground. " (Matthew 25:24-25)

This man let fear of his master decide and dictate what he would do with his talent. The result of his fear-based decision was that his master called him "Wicked and lazy servant(Matthew 25:26) and commanded, "Take the talent from him and give it to the person who has 10 talents(Matthew 25:28) and "Cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness." (Matthew 25:30)

Therefore, regardless of the talents that God has given you, do not make fear-based decisions regarding how you will use them.

If for example God has given you a talent of designing, do not let fear of people stealing your designs make you bury it by not sharing it online and offline.

To avoid making fear-based decisions regarding your talent do the following:
1. Tithe so that God can protect your work
Tithe by giving your Church 10% of the money you make from your talents because God promises us saying "I will rebuke the devourer for your sake so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground". (Malachi 3:11) This means that God will reprimand copyright infringers, product pirators and all those who try to destroy your work in any way.

2. Tithe and trust God for increase

Tithe and entrust your talents to God regardless of whether you use them to plant crops in a physical field  or use them to plant cards in an online store because He promises us that the "Vine shall not fail to bear fruit for you in the field(Malachi 3:11) and "Try Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, 'If I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings so that there will not be enough room to receive them.'(Malachi 3:10)

Therefore instead of making fear-based decisions with regard to how you use your talents, tithe and Commit your way to the Lord, trust Him and He shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37:5)

After committing your work to God, focus on using  your talents to the best of your ability so that when your time comes you can also be commended with "Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:21)
