ATTACKING WITH GREAT NUMBERS
The Bible tells us that The enemy comes in like a flood (Isaiah 59:19) and we can see him flooding the Israelites with problems when they were being oppressed by the Midianites, the Amalekites, and the people from the East.
This multitude of enemies would flock to Israel As numerous as locusts (Judges 6:5) with their livestock, Camels without number (Judges 6:5), and tents whenever the Israelites had sown. They would then destroy all that they could to ensure that the Israelites did not have any sustenance, sheep, ox or even donkeys left. As a result of their destruction, the Israelites were greatly impoverished. (Judges 6:1-6)
Thus we can see that the enemies of God’s people attack God’s people in great numbers and with great problems so that they can effect great physical damage. They also attack in great numbers to inflict great mental damage by making God’s people loose morale and give up instead of looking for a way to fight back.
Therefore, understand that we do not have to give up, retreat or back down to the enemy’s demands even if he attacks us with millions of problems because as we see in Gideon’s case, God, through His power and the Holy Spirit who lifts up a standard against our enemies when they come in like a flood, can defeat millions of our enemies with minimal effort on our part.
In addition, understand that whenever the devil inundates you with problems, he is not only trying to defeat you physically, but also, and more importantly, he is also trying to defeat you mentally so that you can despair and in effect, help him effect your total defeat.
So, refuse to accept to be defeat mentally, even if you have been temporarily defeated physically. Refuse to be defeated in your mind by replacing all negative, defeatist thoughts with powerful, positive Scriptures such as I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

A Perfect God, Imperfect People, and Perfect Plans

A Perfect God, Imperfect People, and Perfect Plans is full of Biblical examples to show you that God has used and still uses “imperfect people ” to fulfill His perfect plans and perfect purposes for their lives if they are willing to obey Him.

Book Excerpt
Has God been asking you to do something for Him yet you have been dismissing yourself because of your imperfections?
Have you been wondering “Who am I that God should use me?”
If so, understand that God uses imperfect and insignificant people to achieve His perfect and significant plans if they obey and cooperate with Him.

Gideon
The first Biblical example of God using “imperfect people” who were perfect for His perfect plans is Gideon.

God used Gideon (Judges 6-7) who was fearfully threshing wheat in a winepress to lead an army of just 300 men to defeat Israel’s enemies who were as numerous as locusts. This was the Gideon who said he was unqualified to save Israel because his clan was the weakest and he was the least important person in his father’s house.

But, God already knew what Gideon thought about himself and how his clan was viewed by the rest of the Israelites when He chose him as His Commander in Chief for He saw A mighty man of valor (Judges 6:12) in Gideon even when Gideon did not see anything great in himself.

Therefore don’t let your low self esteem or low socio-economic status or the challenge’s magnitude stop you from doing God’s bidding. Understand also that when you are “weak”, then God is strong on your behalf and let Him work on you and on your weaknesses as you work on His will and His plans for your life.

Recognize also that Gideon’s fear did not flee overnight. He kept asking God for signs and God kept providing them until the point when Gideon truly believed that he could do it and he went and did it with God’s help.

Therefore, even when you step out in faith and obedience to do what God is asking you to do and you still feel afraid because of persisting problems, pray for more faith since it is the antidote for fear by saying, “Lord I believe, help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24) and continue walking and working in faith.
Work in faith even if you have to work at night like Gideon did when God asked him to destroy Baal’s altar and build an altar for God on top of it. Gideon obeyed God and destroyed Baal’s altar and built one for God during the night because He feared the men of his household and of his city to do it by day. (Judges 6:27)

STRESS MANAGEMENT PLAN WEEK 1
Day 1
1. Breathe Deeply
Abdominal breathing is a very simple but effective relaxation technique. It involves taking a deep breath through your nose until you feel your abdomen rising and then exhaling completely until you feel your abdomen falling. Repeat several times and you will begin to feel less stressed. Therefore, schedule time to really breathe deeply and you will be able to relax completely.

2. Meditate
Meditation is a very effective relaxation technique because by focusing your mind on one thought, your body is able to relax. Therefore, find a Scripture that speaks to your stressful situation and then give it your complete attention. For example if something is terrifying you, meditate on He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him (Proverbs 30:5) until you feel His presence shielding you from the terrifying things in your stressful situation and you will be able to relax in their midst.

3. Utter Affirmations
Affirmations are positive declarations that you can say to counter negative thoughts, feelings, and situations since Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21) Therefore, schedule time to use the power of your tongue by declaring positive, power filled, present tense Scriptures over your life such as I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
4. Stretch
Stretching exercises are very important for managing stress because stress increases muscle tension while stretching reduces it and relaxes the muscles. Therefore, schedule time to stretch all your muscle groups and especially those that you tense when you are stressed. These are usually the neck, shoulder , and back muscles. (For more info on stretching, read  Workout At Home Total Body Exercise Plan   by Dr Miriam Kinai)

5. Exercise Aerobically
Aerobic exercises are very effective for stress relief since they reduce the levels of circulating stress hormones and thereby minimize your chances of developing stress related illnesses. These exercises also result in the release of endorphins which make you feel good. Therefore, schedule time to "work out" the stress from your body by engaging in aerobic activities such as brisk walking, jogging, running, dancing, swimming, playing basketball, rugby, football, doing housework or gardening. (For more info on aerobic exercises, read  Workout At Home Total Body Exercise Plan   by Dr Miriam Kinai.)
