How to Fight for your Children with Bible Verses

How To Fight for Your Children with Bible Verses 3rd Edition Book Excerpt

Regardless of whether your children’s well being is threatened by diseases or deviant lifestyles or bullies or gangs or addictions, you have to combine spiritual, physical and mental interventions to form your own holistic deliverance ministry to fight for your children and deliver them from destruction.

Praying

The first spiritual intervention is to pray for your children yourself.

We can see that the Woman from Canaan approached Jesus because of her daughter because it is written that A woman from Canaan cried out to Jesus saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David because my daughter is severely demon possessed.” (Matthew 15:21-22)

She therefore teaches us that we should pray and intercede for our children and other family members especially if they cannot or will not pray for themselves. This inability to pray can be due to the fact that they are possessed by demons or they have walked away from the Church or they are trapped by addictions or they have mental illnesses or they are unconscious in an ICU or any other reason.

Therefore as a parent heed the Bible for it tells us that we should Boldly approach the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

Let us boldly approach the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

Learn also from Job because he offered sacrifices to God on behalf of his children for His seven sons would hold feasts and invite their three sisters. After their days of feasting were over, Job would rise up early in the morning and offer burnt offerings. For he said, “It may be that my children sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Job did this continually. (Job 1:4-5)

Therefore, regardless of the age of your children or the challenges they are facing, ensure that you first seek God’s advice and assistance by praying for them.

As you pray, use Scriptures since The sword of the spirit is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17) that God has given us to fight with. We will therefore call the Bible verses that we will use to battle SWORD WORDS.

SWORD WORDS that you can use to pray for your children include:
Father God I ask You in the name of Jesus to help my children grow and become strong in the spirit and filled with wisdom and may Your grace O God be upon them. (Reference Luke 2:40)

Father God I ask You in the name of Jesus to help my children increase in wisdom and in stature and in favor with You O God and with people. (Reference Luke 2:52)

Father God I ask You in the name of Jesus to give me increase more and more, me and my children. (Reference Psalm 115:14)

The sword of the spirit is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17)

As you pray, learn from the Woman from Canaan because when she first called on Jesus, Jesus did not answer her. (Matthew 15:23)  However, she did not quit and go back home. She continued to hang around and stay in His presence.

Later when Jesus spoke to her, He said, “I was only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24) However this statement which disqualified her from receiving healing for her daughter because she was not an Israelite did not also discourage her because she Came and worshiped Him. (Matthew 15:24)

Later, Jesus also said to her, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” (Matthew 15:26) However, she was not discouraged because of being equated to a little dog for she responded and said, “Yes, Lord even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table. (Matthew 15:27)

Therefore emulate this Woman from Canaan by not giving up on your prayers or on God if at first you do not get the answer you are asking for. Decide to persist in prayer as you Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
