How to Fight for your Children

How to fight for your children

If your children are always getting sick or they have developed deviant behaviors or their school performance has suddenly dropped for no apparent reason, understand that they may be under attack by the enemy.

Therefore, as you seek solutions for their problems in the physical realm by consulting their doctors, vetting their friends and talking to their teachers, understand that you also have to seek solutions for their problems in the spiritual realm.

The Bible tells us that the SWORD of the Spirit is the WORD of God (Ephesians 6:17) therefore, you have to use this SWORD to fight for your children.

Begin by praying and asking God to help them overcome their childhood and teenage stress without developing long term adverse sequelae.

Then, pray the WORD of God over them. Scriptures you can pray include:
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help my children grow and become strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom and may Your grace O God be upon them.” (Adapted Luke 2:40)

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help my children increase in wisdom and in stature and in favor with You O God and with people. (Adapted Luke 2:52)

After praying, you then have to train up your children in the way in which they should go. (Proverbs 22:6) Do this by commanding them to keep the way of the Lord. (Genesis 18:19) Teach them about Jesus Christ who is The Way and the truth and the life. (John 14:6)

Read Bible stories to the younger children and urge the older ones to regularly read it for themselves. This will help them sidestep many sources of childhood and teenage stress that they may encounter when they are not with you at home.

Do the best that you can as a parent by living right and then commit your children to the Lord as you confess Christian affirmations for children like the following over them:
All my children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of my children. (Adapted Isaiah 54:13)

A righteous person walks in integrity and his children are blessed after him. (Proverbs 20:7)

God will save my children. (Adapted Isaiah 49:25)
