Bible Mothers Devotional Day 3

Bible Reading

God heard the voice of the lad. Then the Angel of God said to Hagar “What ails you, Hagar, Do not fear not for God has heard the voice of the lad. Arise, lift up the lad and hold him with your hand because I will make him a great nation.” (Genesis 21:17-18)

Bible Lesson

One day Sarah (Abraham’s wife) saw the son of Hagar (Sarah’s maid) scoffing and she asked Abraham to send Hagar and her son away. After they were sent away, they wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba and the water they had been given as they got finished.

Hagar then placed her son about a bowshot away from her because she did not want to see him dying and wept.

The Bible tells us that God heard the voice of her son and His Angel appeared to Hagar and told her not to fear because God had heard him and He would bless him and make him a great nation.

God also opened her eyes and she saw a well of water from which she drew water and gave to her son to drink.

The Bible also tells us that God was with the lad (Genesis 21:20) and her grew in the wilderness. (Genesis 21:9-19)

Therefore understand that it is very important to teach your children to pray because the Bible tells us that God heard the boy (Genesis 21:17) and His Angel called out to Hagar from Heaven and told her, "God has heard the voice of the lad". (Genesis 21:17)

Consequently, the lad’s  mother Hagar was given a solution to their problem when her eyes were opened and she saw the well of water.

In addition, know that even if you are facing dire problems that can kill your child and you do not have human help, know that God can see the problems and hear the affliction and send you a solution.

In addition please note that even if you are in a wilderness situation, you child can still grow like Ishmael who grew in the wilderness. Therefore regardless of the problems you are facing as a mother in your wilderness, do not despair because God sees and hears you.

Prayer

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to hear the cries of my children and open my eyes so that I can see the solution to these problems we are facing. Father God I also ask You to be with my children the way you were with Ishamael so that they can grow and become great men and women.

Bible Verse Meditation

  2. That depends upon your preferences and the size of the family. If you are single or have a small family, an apartment is a better choice for you. Plus, apartments are quick to flip if you decide to sell them and gain profit.
