Hope for the Hopeless Situation

Hope for the Hopeless Situation

There is hope for the hopeless situation that you are facing today.

Therefore, do not give up on your situation.

Instead, learn from the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 the 5 steps you should take to change your situation for the better.

This woman was in a seemingly hopeless situation because she had suffered from a bleeding disease for 12 years and it continued to worsen even though she had spent all her money looking for a cure.

However, she was able to change her "impossible' situation for the better and you can also do the same by doing the following:

1. Mentally place your Hope in God
Mentally place your hope or expectation of the situation changing for the better in God rather than in yourself because With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

To do this, cast the entire situation to God in prayer and then mentally leave it in His capable hands. To learn how to do this read How to Pray for your Stressful Situation.

To keep your hope alive in the midst of the hopeless situation remind yourself that Hope that is seen is not hope. For why should someone hope for what they see? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it eagerly and with perseverance. (Romans 8:24-25)

Therefore, Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation and continue steadfastly in prayer. (Romans 12:12)

2. Spiritually have Faith in God
After casting the situation to God, believe that He can change it for the better.

This having faith in God's ability to change your situation is very important because All things are possible for the person who believes (Mark 9:23) and it was faith that enabled this woman to be healed for Jesus said to her, "Your faith has made you well." (Mark 5:34)

Therefore simply decide to believe that God can improve your situation for you.

If your faith is wavering because of what you have been through, read How to Strengthen your Faith.

3. Speak to the Situation
Since The tongue has the power of death and life (Proverbs 18:21) use your God given power to change your situation for the better.

The woman with the issue of blood did this for she spoke to herself saying, "If I touch His garment I shall be healed(Mark 5:28) and she did touch his garments and was cured.

Therefore, speak faith words and tell yourself and your situation what will happen.

For the best results, speak Scriptures to your situation since The sword of the spirit is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)

Bible verses that you can confess over your seemingly hopeless situation include:
God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask of think. (Ephesians 3:20)

Weeping may endure for a night by joy cometh in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)

Unto the upright, light arises out of the darkness. (Psalm 112:4)
Unto the upright, light arises out of the darkness. (Psalm 112:4)

4. Physically do Something
After mentally placing your hope in God and spiritually placing your faith in Him and prophesying over your situation with His Word, physically do whatever you can to improve it since Faith without works is dead. (James 2:26)

The woman with the bleeding disease did something physical because she mustered strength to leave her home even though she was hemorrhaging and pushed through the crowd until she touched the hem of Jesus' garment.

Therefore instead of drowning in depression, decide to do something physical to improve your situation.

After making your decision, know that for your physical activity to be most effective, you first have to strategically position yourself the way this woman placed herself next to Jesus. To learn how to do this read How to Choose a Strategic Place to Position Yourself.

5. Praise God
Praising God is very important when you are dealing with a humanly hopeless situation because it ushers in the presence of God into your situation because we Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise (Psalm 1100:4) and God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm  22:3).

In addition, praising God utilizes the power in your mouth (Proverbs 18:21)Therefore praise Him in the middle of your seemingly hopeless situation.

To praise God effectively, confess Bible verses that declare His  power over your situation. For example you can say:
I praise You Father God because You are the Lord, the God of all flesh and there nothing that is too hard for You. (Adapted Jeremiah 32:27)

I praise You Father God because with You all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)
