Christian Money Management Principles: Believe God’s Word

Believing God and believing His Word is the third Christian money management principle for fighting poverty Biblically.

The first reason for believing that God can change your financial situation even if you are crippled physically, educationally, intellectually or in any other way is because With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)
With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

The second reason for believing God and His Word is that As you have believed, so will it be done unto you. (Matthew 8:13) Therefore decide to believe the Bible and especially where it says, God Raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap so that He may seat him with princes. (Psalm 113:7-8)

We can even see a practical example of this when King David sent for Mephibosheth who was the crippled son of Jonathan and told him that “You shall eat at my table” (2 Samuel 9:7) after making wealthy by declaring that “I will restore to you Mephibosheth all the land that belonged to your grandfather King Saul.” (2 Samuel 9:7)

Therefore even if you have been crippled physically, socially, educationally, intellectually, careerwise or in any other way and even if you consider yourself utterly useless like Mephibosheth who asked King David, “What is your servant that you should show kindness to such a dead dog as I?” (2 Samuel 9:8) believe that God can still raise you from the oblivion of poverty to the financial prosperity that enables you to be seated with princes and kings.

Believe that God can do it for you because He did for Mephibosheth who could not do anything by himself to acquire his grandfather’s real estate for God is not a respector of persons. (Acts 10:34)

God is not a respector of persons. (Acts 10:34)

The third reason for believing God and His Word is that that is how you hold up your shield of faith which is one of our spiritual warfare weapons and the weapon that is able to quench or nullify all the fiery darts of the enemy. (Ephesians 6:16)

These fiery darts can include doubts fired into your mind telling you that you will never prosper because of your history of financial failures. To put them off simply remind yourself of the fact that With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

Christian Personal Finance 2nd Edition teaches 29 Bible principles of money management. It also uses examples from the Bible to teach you:
