Is a river of problems standing between you and your Promised Land?
Is your movement to the next level of your life, ministry, business or career hindered by a lake of tribulations?
If you answered yes to any of these questions learn the following lessons from the Israelites when they had to cross the flooded River Jordan so that they could enter their Promised Land (Joshua 3):
1. Walk by FaithGod instructed the priests who were carrying the ark of the covenant to first step into the flooded River Jordan and then the waters would stop flowing. (Joshua 3:7-13)
Therefore Walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7) and do what God has told you to do even if you are still surrounded by problems.
2. Stand in FaithAfter the priests stood in the flooded River Jordan, God made the waters stop flowing not where they were standing, but very far away at a city called Adam. (Joshua 3:16)
This means that the priests had to continue standing in the midst of the flooded River Jordan until all the waters from Adam had flowed downstream.
Therefore, Having done all, stand. (Ephesians 6:13)
This means that after you have done everything that God has told you to do, stand in faith in the middle of your flooded river of problems until God dries it.
Do not give up or give in, just continue standing even if the troubles are still flowing rapidly towards you.
3. Put on your ArmorTo be able to stand in the middle of a flooded river of problems as you wait for God to solve them for you, you have to have tied the belt of truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Gospel, the helmet of salvation.
Above all ensure that you are holding the shield of faith with which you will be able to put out all the fiery darts that the wicked one fires at you and take the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.(Ephesians 6:14-17)
