Break Bread With Honey to Manage Stress

Some studies suggest that consuming honey can alleviate anxiety which often accompanies stress.

Therefore apply a tablespoon of honey to slices of wholegrain bread to create a relaxing snack since the bread will increase levels of serotonin in your body and impart a feeling of emotional well-being.

You can also add a tablespoon of honey to a cup of chamomile herbal tea to create a sleep-inducing drink if you are suffering from stress-related insomnia.

Medical studies have shown that dark chocolate lowers the levels of stress hormones. By doing this, it decreases your chances of developing stress-related illnesses. 

Dark chocolate has also been proven to prevent heart disease which is a very useful health benefit for stressed persons since stress is one of the risk factors for these killer diseases.

Chocolate is also known to increase the levels of the body’s own “feel-good’ hormone which are known as endorphins which results in a person feeling better. 

Therefore consume one square of dark chocolate (around 1.6 ounces or 40grams) each day to keep the hazardous effects of stress at bay.

Accept It Is The Lord's

When you are battling with a mind-boggling stressful situation and there is nothing that you can do about it physically, do something about it spiritually. 

Offer it up to the Lord in prayer as you acknowledge that The battle is not yours, but God's. (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Acknowledging that the outcome of your seemingly impossible stressful situation depends on God and not on you gives you peace in the middle of chaos. It enables you to relax and wait serenely knowing that you shall emerge victorious Not by might nor by power, but My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)

Therefore never give up on your stressful situation. Give it up to the Lord and let Him battle it out for you.
