Stress Management Solid Lotion Bar Recipe

Stress management lotion bar recipe

I love making stress management solid lotion bars because I can simply put them in a small jar and carry them with me anywhere I go without worrying about spills in my handbag.

I use them to moisturize my hands after washing and in professions like mine which demand frequent hand washing, they are a great option since they are 100% natural and thus they do not pose the health hazards associated with petroleum jelly and other skincare products filled with questionable ingredients.

These solid lotion bars can also double up as emergency lip balms and cuticle creams.

Solid Lotion Bar Ingredients
1/3 cup beeswax
1/3 cup shea butter
1/3 cup coconut oil
1 cup olive oil
10 drops lavender essential oil

Solid Lotion Bar Instructions
Place all the ingredients in a glass container and put it inside a bowl with simmering water to melt the beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil.

The beeswax can be a bit stubborn if you are trying to melt it this way but you can always grate it before melting or melt the ingredients in the microwave. To do this, heat them for 30 seconds, remove them from the microwave, stir and repeat several times until they are fully melted. However, I prefer to avoid microwaves whenever I can.

Once the ingredients melt, stir to mix them and pour into a mold.

Give the mixture a few minutes to cool before adding the essential oil. I generally add 1 drop of the essential oil to each cavity in my mold.

Leave the mold in a cool place for several hours for the contents to solidify completely.

Remove the solid lotion bars from the molds and store them in a small container.

To use your solid lotion bar, rub its surface with your fingers so that you can melt it with your body heat and then massage the lotion onto your body.

This is an awesome Bible verse to meditate on if people have placed obstacles on your path that you cannot remove since the Pharisees placed seals on the tomb that held the body of Jesus but when  the time came for Him to resurrect and leave the tomb, an Angel came down and rolled back the stone and sat on it so that it would not move.
An Angel came down form Heaven, rolled back the stone and sat on it. (Matthew 28:2)
