Fulfilling your Purpose: Distractions

Fulfilling your Purpose: Distractions

Distraction is one of the devices that the devil uses to keep God's people from accomplishing the purposes of God for their lives.

The devil can cause distractions using many ways but one of the things he uses is problems.

He uses people to cause problems in your life so that he can keep you busy solving those  problems instead of doing what God has called you to do.

Therefore if you find yourself in a situation where you are wasting your spiritual, physical, mental and emotional energy as well as your time and money solving problem after problem instead of using your resources to fulfill the purposes of God for your life, do the following:
1. Pray
Pray and ask God to help you.

2. Plead the Blood of Jesus
Plead the Blood of Jesus over yourself and over all the things that are under attack in your life to offer you protection.

To do this you can prayerfully say:
"I plead the Blood of Jesus over myself."
"I plead the Blood of Jesus over my family, home."
"I plead the Blood of Jesus over my office, car, motorcycle, jet."
"I plead the Blood of Jesus over business, blog."
"I plead the Blood of Jesus over my bank accounts."

3. Put on the armor of God
The armor of God are the weapons we have been given to fight spiritual battles (Ephesians 6:13-17). To put on this armor you should:
Salvation - Say with your mouth that 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that when He died for our sins God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Righteousness - Do the right thing in the sight of God at all times.

Truth - Speak the truth at all times.

The Gospel - Read the Gospel of Jesus to prepare yourself.

Faith - Believe God and His Word so that you can destroy all the darts the devil fires in your direction.

Word of God - Speak the Word of God over your situation because it is the Sword of the Spirit.

4. Stand on Deuteronomy 28:7
The Lord shall cause the enemies that rise up against me to be smitten before my face. They shall come out against me in one way and flee from before me in seven ways. (Deuteronomy 28:7)

Pray, say and believe this Bible verse so that you can confidently commit your enemies to God because it tells us that it is God Himself who will smite your enemies and not you.

Committing your enemies to God will therefore enable you to stop wasting your resources on them.

Committing your enemies to God will also enable you to avoid another device of the devil - he wants you to focus on him. The devil wants you to focus on him and all the bad things he can do to you because once he has filled your mind with fear, he can defeat you mentally. And once he has defeated you mentally, it is only a matter of time before he defeats you physically.

5. Focus on doing God's work
Focus your spiritual, physical, mental and emotional energies as well as your time and money on doing God's work so that you can Fulfill the purposes of God for your generation. (Acts 13:36)

Flee From Before Me in Seven Directions

There are 8 key compass points - north, north east, east, south east, south, south west, west and north west - and I wondered why the Bible did not say "They shall flee from before me in eight directions" until the Lord revealed to me that the enemy should not be before you.

The enemy should be behind you and that is why Jesus said, "Get thee behind me satan" (Matthew 16:23).

Therefore, if for example you are moving towards the north as you do God's work, if the enemy is fleeing from you he has to flee and scatter in the other 7 directions - north east, east, south east, south, south west, west and north west.

Therefore from this day forward pray and ask God to smite your enemies and then disengage yourself from the enemy's plan to destroy your life by focusing 100% on fulfilling God's plan for your life.
