Essentials for Answered Prayers Book Excerpt
To ensure that your prayers are answered, you have to:
1. Confess your Sins
The Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save you, or His ear heavy that He cannot hear you. But your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2)

God answers prayers but sin can separate you from Him so that when you pray, He does not hear your prayers just as it had separated the Israelites from God.

Note that the sins that hindered their prayers were:
a) “Big sins” of commission such as murder {Your hands are defiled with blood Isaiah 59:3)}
b) “Small sins” such as lying {Your lips have spoken lies (Isaiah 59:3)}
c) Sins that probably only God knew about such as whispering nasty words {Your tongue has muttered perversity (Isaiah 59:3)}
d) Sins of omission for No one calls for justice, nor does anyone plead for truth (Isaiah 59:4)

Therefore, confess all your known sins to God and ask Him to forgive you all your sins even those you cannot remember since this is an essential to avoid having unanswered prayers.

2. Be Righteous
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16)

After confessing, live right or righteously so that you can tap into the power of prayer and ensure that your prayers do a lot by virtue of them being answered regardless of whether you are saying prayers for healing, prayers for strength or spiritual warfare prayers.

***

3. Remain in Jesus
If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. (John 15:7)

Therefore, remain in Jesus. This implies that you have to be committed to your Christian faith by doing what He expects you to do and getting saved.

To get saved all you have to do is to say with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead when He died for our sins and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

After getting saved, try your best not to backslide or revert to your former sinful ways so that you can ensure that you continue abiding in Jesus.

In addition, get answers to your prayers by ensuring that Jesus’ words remain in you. You can do this by setting aside time every day to read the Gospels, memorize Scriptures and meditate on His Words.

***

4. Ask in the Name of Jesus
If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. (John 14:14)

This is another great key to answered prayers. Therefore, always pray in the name of Jesus. You can do this by beginning your prayers by saying “Father I ask you in the name of Jesus that you may ...”
Or you can conclude your prayers by saying “I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.”

How to Fight Feelings of Condemnation with Bible Verses

How to Fight Feelings of Condemnation with Bible Verses

How to Fight Condemnation with Bible Verses
Condemnation or feeling condemned is a technique the devil uses to permanently tie people to their past mistakes in order to prevent them from enjoying their present and from moving towards their future joyously.

If you have made a mistake, regardless of how big or small, confess your sins to God, receive His forgiveness and forgive yourself.

In addition, apologize to those you have hurt and compensate them for their loses.
Then, leave your mistakes in the past and move on into your future guilt free and refuse to live the rest of your life chained to your past sins.

Imitate Paul who said, “Although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a disrespectful man, I obtained mercy. “ (1 Timothy 1:13)

He left behind the mistakes of his old self when he was Saul the serious persecutor of Christians, who even had letters from the High priests authorizing him to arrest Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem for punishment (Acts 22:5), and he was now living a new life as Paul the serious preacher of Christianity.

Therefore, do the same. Turn over a new page right now and begin a new chapter in your life by accepting Jesus as your Savior because If anyone is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation. Old things pass away as all things become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

To accept Jesus all you have to do is to say with your mouth that “Jesus Christ is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead when He died for our sins and you will be saved (Romans 10:9) and you will become a new creation.

Take this step of getting saved today for it is a vital step for Christian deliverance because the helmet of salvation is one of the weapons of our spiritual warfare. (Ephesians 6:14-17)

After getting saved, leave your past sins and mistakes behind by erasing them from your mind because God has erased them from your record and forgiven you.

Emulate Paul further and reach forward to your future guilt free for he says, One thing I do is, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind (Philippians 3:13-15)

If the feelings of condemnation persist, pray deliverance prayers for yourself and ask God to set you free. For example you can pray:
1. Father it is written that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and therefore I ask you in the name of Jesus to erase these feelings of guilt from my life since I have repented and accepted Jesus as my Savior. (Adapted Romans 8:1)

2. Father God, it is written that If anyone is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away as all things become new. Therefore, I ask you to help me forget the things I did in the past as they pass away from my mind since I have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior.  (Adapted 2 Corinthians 5:17)

3. Father God I ask you in the name of Jesus to help me forget those things which are behind me and assist me to reach forward to those which are ahead. Help me to press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Adapted Philippians 3:13-15)

How to Assert Yourself

Buy How to Assert Yourself from Amazon

Asserting yourself is a direct way of expressing your feelings and needs clearly, politely and without hurting the other person's or party’s feelings or minimizing what you want to say.
To help you assert yourself to people who are your superiors such as your boss, parents, secular or religious leaders and all those in authority over you, remember the following assertiveness ASSERT mnemonic:
A  Assess your problems, feelings, goals, right, needs and wants
S  Set a convenient time and place to meet
S  State the problem clearly
E
R
T
***
A perfect example of how to assert yourself to your superiors is found in the book of Joshua where we can see Caleb Jephunneh asserting himself to Joshua who was his superior since God had chosen him to lead the Israelites after Moses had died. We can also see that Caleb followed the following assertiveness ASSERT steps:
A  Assess your problems, feelings, goals, right, needs and wants
Caleb assessed his situation and felt that he had a right to own Mount Hebron because it had been promised to him.
S  Set a convenient time and place to meet
Caleb approached Joshua in a place called Gilgal. (Joshua 14:6)
S  State the problem clearly
Caleb said to Joshua, “45 years have passed since God spoke the word to Moses that I should be given Mount Hebron and it is still not in my possession as the Anaks live there.” (Joshua 14:10)
E
Caleb said to Joshua, “Today, I am 85 years old and yet I feel as strong today as I was 45 years ago when I was promised Mount Hebron and therefore, I am ready to fight for it.” (Joshua 14:10-11)
R
Caleb said to Joshua, “Give me this mountain (Joshua 14:12) and the permission to fight for it and possess it.”
T
Caleb said to Joshua, “Please remember what God said to Moses regarding you and I 45 years ago when Moses sent us and 10 other men from Kadesh Barnea to spy out this land that God had promised us because Moses said that the land where I set my foot would be my inheritance since I had wholly followed the Lord my God and brought back a good report of the Promised Land”. (Joshua 14:6-9)
As a result of asserting himself effectively, Joshua gave Caleb Mount Hebron (Joshua 14:13) and gave him permission to fight for it and possess it from the Anaks even though 45 years had passed from the time he had been promised that mountain. Therefore, following this simple ASSERT mnemonic and you will be able to assert yourself successfully to your superiors.
