The steps of the War Room Prayer Strategy for your Job are as follows:

1. Identify the Devil's Device
The devil uses many strategies to fight God's people but We are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11) These devices include false accusations, confusion, deception, destruction, devaluation, fear, etc.

You can identify the device being used to fight against your job by paying attention to what you are experiencing. For example if you are fearful as you work at your job, know that fear is the device being used by the enemy because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

We can also see that when Nehemiah was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, Sanballat sent an open letter accusing him and the Jews of rebuilding so that they could rebel against the King. Nehemiah discerned the real motive of those false accusations was to make them stop working for he said, They were trying to frighten us to stop working. (Nehemiah 6:5-9)

Nehemiah dealt with this device of fear by praying for he said, “God strengthen my hands”. (Nehemiah 6:9) Therefore identify the device being used to fight against you so that you can deal with it effectively.

To learn more about these devices of the devil read We Are Not Ignorant Of His Devices which uses examples from the Bible to teach you about 20 strategies that the devil uses to attack God's people and explains how to deal with each of those devices.

2. Put on the Armor of God
The Bible instructs us to, "Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the tricks of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11)

The armor of God consists of the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:14-17)

To put on this armor of God you have to do the following:

1. Put on the helmet of salvation by saying with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believing in your heart that when Jesus died for our sins, God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

2. Put on the breastplate of righteousness by always doing the right thing in the sight of God.

3. Tie the belt of truth by being truthful in all your dealings and especially at your workplace.

4. Put on the Gospel of peace by reading your Bible every day and especially before  going to work.

5. Take up the shield of faith by believing God and His Word in the Bible because this will help you neutralize the attacks of the enemy.

6. Take up the sword of the spirit which is the word of God by speaking Scriptures over your job.

3. Praise and Thank God
The Bible tells us to Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. (Psalm 100:4)

This means that when you want to enter God's presence you have to thank Him and praise Him.

Therefore put begin playing Christian praise songs and singing along.

Combine this with thanking God for what He has done for you in the past and praising Him for what He will do for you in the future.

You can also praise God for Who He is especially if you need Him to use those attributes to help you. For example if you need Him to fight for you at your workplace you can praise Him by saying, "I praise You because You are Jehovah Sabaoth (1 Samuel 17:45) the Lord of Hosts."

4. Pray Effectively and Fervently
Once you are in the presence of God begin praying ardently because the Bible tells us that The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person availeth much. (James 5:16)

To pray effectively for your job, you have to use Bible verses since The sword of the spirit is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)

Bible verse prayers or SWORD WORDS that you can use to pray for your job include:

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to let Your beauty O Lord my God be upon me and establish the work of my hands for me.Yes, establish the work of my hands for me. (Psalm 90:16-17)

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to open Your good treasure the heavens and give rain to my land in its season and bless the work of my hand. (Deuteronomy 28:12)

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to reward my work. (Jeremiah 31:16)

SWORD WORDS to fight for your job

As you pray effectively and ardently for your job using your SWORD WORDS, ensure that you are also living a righteous life because The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16) and The eyes of God are on the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers. (1 Peter 3:2)

Ensure that you have also confessed your sins to God and asked for His forgiveness because The Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save you and His ear is not heavy that He cannot hear you. But your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2)

5. Have Faith or Decide to Believe
As you pray for your job you have to believe that you will receive what you are asking for because we are told to Ask in faith (James 1:6)

If you feel or think that you do not have faith, know that is a lie because God has dealt to each person a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)

If you feel or think that your faith is too small to achieve anything, know that that is also a lie because Jesus taught, "If you have faith as small a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)

If you find that your faith is wavering because you are not sure if you will receive what you are asking, simply pray "Lord I believe. Help my unbelief." (Mark 9:24)

6. Fast
Jesus taught that somethings have to be dealt with by combining prayer with fasting when He said, "This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21

Therefore combine praying with abstaining from food for 1 day or 3 days or 21 days or 40 days. If you have never fasted before you can begin by skipping 1 meal. If you have any medical condition or you are taking medication, please consult your doctor first.

As you abstain from food ensure that you are not engaging in other pleasurable activities or taking advantage of people because when the Israelites asked God “Why have we fasted and You do not see? (Isaiah 58:3) He told them, “On the day you fast, you find pleasure and exploit your laborers.” (Isaiah 58:3)

To learn more read How to Fast Effectively which uses Bible examples to teach you the things you should do to ensure that you get great results when you fast.

7. Cling to God's Promises
As you wait to receive what you are praying for, emulate Abraham for Abraham did not water at the promise of God through unbelief. But he was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God while being fully convinced that what God had promised, He was able to perform. (Romans 4:20-21)

Therefore meditate on the Promises of God for your job while being fully convinced that what God has promised in His Word, He is able to perform for you.

Promises of God for your job that you can cling to include:

Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts shall be established. (Proverbs 16:3)

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. (Matthew 633)

The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich and He adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22)

God has set before me an open door and no one can shut it. (Adapted Revelation 3:8)

To lean more promises, go through your Bible or read The Promises of God and Their Conditions.

The Promises of God and their Conditions teaches you the things that God says He will give you and what you have to do to get them.

SWORD WORDS to fight for your job

8. Speak to the Situation

Jesus taught, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:20-21)

Therefore in addition to praying in faith and fasting, you also have to speak to the mountainous problem you are facing at your job and tell it where it should go.

To do this effectively, speak SWORD WORDS like the following every morning and evening:

The Lord God has established the work of our hands for us.Yes, He has established the work of our hands for us. (Psalm 90:16-17)

The Lord God has opened His good treasure the heavens and given rain to my land in its season and blessed the work of my hand. (Deuteronomy 28:12)

The Lord God is rewarding my work. (Jeremiah 31:16)
