Christmas Devotional Day 2 has been adapted from the book Christmas Devotional which teaches valuable Christmas Bible lessons from the events that surrounded the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas Devotional Day 1
Bible Reading
The birth of Jesus
Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before
they came together, she was found to be expecting a Child of the Holy Spirit.
Then Joseph her husband to be, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a
public spectacle, thought of ending their relationship privately. (Matthew
1:18-19)
Bible Lesson
Mary experienced a big problem before the first Christmas
because her relationship with Joseph was threatened by the fact that she was
pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
This problem of Mary teaches us that sometimes when God
enables us to conceive “things” inside us like ministries through the power of
the Holy Spirit, the way Mary had conceived Jesus, we may encounter problems in
our personal and even professional lives.
Therefore if you are facing big problems because of doing
what God has called you to do, do not give up on your calling. Continue being
obedient to God and trust that He will work it out for your good just like He
did for Mary.
Prayer
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me continue trusting in You and believing that you will help me solve these problems that I am facing.
Bible Verse
Meditation
God is our refuge and
strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
