Astraphobia (fear of lightning and thunder) or

Carcinophobia (fear of cancer) or

Bible prayers to overcome fear

The first spiritual fear intervention is to pray and ask God to help you defeat fear. 

As you pray, use Scriptures since Bible verses are the foundation of any deliverance ministry for the Word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17).

Bible verse prayer that you can use to fight fear include:
1. Father God, I ask you in the name of Jesus to help me overcome these fears and phobias because You have given me a spirit of power and of love and a sound mind and not a spirit of fear. (Adapted 2 Timothy 1:7)

2. Father God I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me remember that You are my helper and therefore I should not fear. (Adapted Hebrews 13:6)

3. Father God I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me to remember that even when I am walking through the valley of the shadow of death that You are with me and I should not fear. (Adapted Psalm 23:4)


In addition to praying, you also have to Be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Ephesians 4:23) so that you can stop being afraid.
